Our Story
VanKind started the same way many great adventures do, with a van and an idea.
Built from a love of travel
how it all started
In 2022, we converted our own Mercedes Sprinter, designing it as the perfect base for travelling across Europe. Our goal was simple: create a van that felt like a home from home, capable of going off-grid while still offering comfort, thoughtful design and a beautifully finished interior.
The van quickly attracted attention. People loved the interior, the style and the carefully considered specification. Before long, people started asking if we could build one for them too.
That first build sparked what would eventually become VanKind.
Since then, we’ve gone on to build over 30 campervans, each one designed with the same attention to detail, design-led thinking and passion for travel that started it all.
Today, VanKind operates from its own workshop, focusing on premium signature builds and bespoke conversions, while deliberately staying small so every van receives the care and craftsmanship it deserves.

With over 15 years in design and marketing, Dan has worked with businesses all over the world, creating campaigns across multiple industries.
At VanKind, Dan leads the design and layout of each conversion, focusing on interior flow, usability and finishes. His approach ensures every van is not only practical for life on the road but also beautifully designed to feel like a true living space.
davie | founder
Before VanKind, Davie worked as a professional photographer and videographer, travelling internationally and collaborating with some of the biggest brands in the world.
His creative background and technical mindset now translate into the build, specifications and construction of each van, ensuring every system, structure and detail is executed to the highest standard.
The part we love the most
Handing over the finished van is always the moment that makes it all worthwhile.
After weeks of design, building and refining every detail, seeing a customer experience their van for the first time is something special. That moment when the doors open, they step inside, and it finally feels real.
It’s usually a mix of excitement, disbelief and a lot of planning for the adventures ahead.
For us, it’s more than just delivering a vehicle. It’s knowing that the van will soon be part of someone’s travels, memories and experiences on the road.
And from that point on, they’re part of the VanKind family.
